Not only have we moved into a new space, we’ve stepped up our game with a variety of new services—including hand therapy.
Hand therapy is a little different than standard physical therapy because it is more highly specialized. Hand therapists typically undergo advanced training that enables them to address injuries and conditions of the hand, wrist, elbow, and arm.
Here at the Orthopedic and Sports Medicine Institute, we have always provided a wide variety of orthopedic and sports medicine services. Of course, our specialty areas are knees and shoulders—but we are here to serve all of your needs.
Hand surgery is highly specialized—and so is hand therapy. We offer a hand rehabilitation specialty program at OSMI. Two of our physical therapists are certified hand therapists and are here to serve your pre- and post-operative needs. Whether you have experienced an injury to your hand or you are suffering from a chronic condition like carpal tunnel syndrome or arthritis, our hand therapists can help restore range of motion and strength and help you get back to your normal activities.
This is part of our ongoing effort to offer a full-service sports medicine clinic to meet all of your needs. If you are suffering from a hand or wrist injury, be sure to get in touch with the physical therapy clinic to have it evaluated. We want you to be in tip-top shape so that you can enjoy all of the activities that you love.
