Richard Paul Wilson, MD – Biography
Richard Wilson, MD, is a family physician who is fellowship trained in sports medicine. He specializes in the nonoperative treatment of sports related injuries. He does nonsurgical fracture care and also utilizes ultrasound for diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic injuries. He completed the Methodist Health System Sports Medicine Fellowship in 2007. Dr. Wilson has a family legacy in sports medicine and had the great fortune to work along side his father, who was a very successful orthopedic surgeon in San Antonio, Texas. With his wealth of experience, Dr. Wilson is able to diagnose, explain, and treat a wide range of musculoskeletal problems and he does this in ways that earn his patients’ confidence that they understand what needs to be done to heal and get back in action.
During his times outside of the office, Dr. Wilson tries to break away for the occasional round of golf or hunting trip, but spends most of his time doing what he loves the most, being a husband to his beautiful wife and a daddy to his 2 boys.
